The farming communities of Bumba Hill are primitive, without running clean water or electricity.  They depend on coffee for their livelihood, growing cron and beans for subsistence. The introduction of the new Long Miles washing station at Ninga has had a major positive impact on the producers of Bumba. They no longer have to walk 3hrs to deliver their coffee cherry to Long Miles to receive the best prices for ripe coffee cherry.  A byproduct of this improvement is greatly improved quality, with coffee cherry delivered fresh to the washing station.
