As proud Calgarians, alumni of the University of Calgary, and with our first location inside the Calgary Farmer’s Market, it would be safe to say that both Phil and I are ecstatic to finally find our next Phil & Sebastian cafe location in the heart of downtown Calgary. We had long been asked by our customers (and eager commercial real estate brokers) about when we would open a permanent Phil & Sebastian downtown cafe. We dabbled downtown with a couple of pop-up locations: first inside Holt Renfrew, then outdoors on Stephen Ave and 3rd St. SW.

Over the years, we have looked at countless downtown locations but none truly offered what we were looking for: a balance of character, presence, and traffic. Finally, we feel we have honed in on a building that has all of those characteristics and more: Hudson Block.

Located on the corner of Stephen Avenue and Centre Street, we’ll be sharing the building with our new neighbours, ATB Financial.

Construction on this project begins later in September, and we are projecting a Winter 2016 opening. We look forward to sharing more progress as the time comes. As always, we thank you for being a fan and for supporting our local business.
